Shopping at the Farmer`s Market

Buying farinha!

and buying coffee.  You can´t imagine how good it smelled!  Fresh ground, it was still warm in the bag!

Dad

Dad is a really wonderful man.  He enjoys life!  He goes to the academy to workout on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  Of course, I love his shoes, they are Chucks!

Dinner at Mara´s Home

Last night we were invited to a wonderful pasta dinner at a friend, Mara´s, home.  I can not begin to describe the lively conversation and laughter that accompanied the dinner and afterwards.  Thank you Mara for your warm hospitality and amazing cooking!
Here we are, the girls in Mara´s kitchen.  Mara is in the brown next to Zila. She has a fitness academy where Dad and Zila work out.  Andelissa in the aqua has a cake business with 8 bakers/culinary artist who make the most beautiful cakes for weddings, birthdays, etc, not to mention cupcakes, cake pops, jellies, jam and more.  I am really looking forward to visiting her shop.
Mara´s home is so charming, it´s like living outside but you are inside!  The climate here is perfect, sunny, comfortable, no humidity.

Today Dad took me on a drive around Campo Grande and we stopped at several shopping places, a farmer´s market and a mall.  It was a delightful time.  Now we are going out for dessert!

Breakfast

Tatu joined me for breakfast today!
The view at breakfast, note Tatu on his way to join me on this lovely morning in Campo Grande!

Meet Newton

Newton is Zila´s boyfriend.  The smile you see in the photo is the smile that you always see on his face.  He is a very happy, animated man, I like him a lot.  Last night, he took me for a small tour of Campo Grand at sunset.  The streets, the parks, the govenment building...  all were so lovely.  He drives a truck so we all three must squeeze together to fit, but it works fine.  Newton is a farm manager.

Fresh, fresh, fresh

Zila and her family are treating me like a queen.  I really appreciate all their attention and warm hospitality.  The foods and drinks everywhere here in Campo Grande are very fresh and made close to the source.  I have not seen a microwave!
